Hey there! I’ve been using the Nature Republic Argan Essential Deep Care Hair Pack for a few weeks now, so I want to share my review on it today!
I purchased mine on Amazon for $10.88 (although the listing can change). It comes in a 200mL tub.
How to Use the Product ♡
This hair pack is an intensive conditioning treatment. It’s meant to applied from the midsection to the ends of your hair after shampooing and towel drying, then washed off after 5-10 minutes. The instructions say to use it once a week for best results.
My hair is very bleached from the midsection to ends. I only wash it once or twice a week at most, so I personally use this product as my regular conditioner for about 20 minutes at a time.
*Sidenote* It’s difficult to capture the instructions and ingredients on photo due to the color of the font and packaging, so you can read both of those on memebox where it’s currently sold out!
Ingredients: Highlights, Lowlights and Benefits ♡
The highlight ingredients include argan oil, rosehip oil, ginseng root extract and licorice root extract.
One thing that I want to mention off the bat is that the ingredients on skin/hair care products are listed in order from highest to lowest concentration. Argan oil is actually fifth from the bottom of the ingredients list. It’s quite low, so I’m not sure that I would exactly call this product an “argan oil hair treatment”.
However, ginseng root extract is quite high up on the list of ingredients at number seven. Ginseng is great for promoting hair growth and healthy hair, so It’s often used in shampoo and conditioner.
A lowlight in the ingredients that I have to point out is dimethicone. This one is number two on the list. Dimethicone is a silicone oil that is used as a conditioning agent. It’s often included in skin and hair care for a smoothening effect. It’s safe to use, but having it so high up on the ingredients list means missing out on more of the other truly beneficial ingredients. So, although It’s not particularly bad, I would rather get more of the benefits from the highlight ingredients instead of a smooth and silky effect from the dimethicone.
Scent, Color and Texture ♡
I really like the scent of the hair pack! I can’t exactly describe it. It kind of just smells like how you would expect conditioner to smell. I have noticed that the scent doesn’t really stick to my hair after blow drying or allowing it to air dry. This could be good for someone who doesn’t like strong scents in their hair.
The product is an off-white, slightly light brown-tinted color. A highlight to add here is that there are no artificial colors included in the ingredients!
The texture is smooth and thicker than a regular drugstore conditioner. Not super thick, but definitely not too thin and watery either.
My Personal Thoughts and Results ♡
Overall, It’s cool, but not that ~cool~
I do enjoy using it. A little goes a long way, and that’s coming from someone with a whole lot of hair.
It smells nice and isn’t overpowering, it makes my hair feel soft and the packaging looks pretty in my bathroom. I would much prefer to use this product as my conditioner rather than most drugstore conditioners that I have tried in the past.
However, I haven’t had the noticeable results that I hoped for from a deep care hair pack.
I would absolutely recommend this product for someone who is looking for a more intense conditioner, but not for someone with damaged hair who is looking for a super intensive treatment.
I personally will most likely not be re-purchasing because I would like to try other hair products out there. I will definitely finish the tub though!
Personal verdict: 3.5/5 hearts
