Hello, October | A Note & My End Of Year Goals

As much as I love the vibrant scents and carefree feeling of summer, I love the warm scents and cozy feeling of fall much more. The colors, decor, recipes and memories of the season can hardly be beat in my opinion. At the same time, I’m met with a wake up call reminding me how much time has passed. It’s almost the end of the year!

I feel that a lot of about my mindset has changed this past September. I’ve been more effecient in managing my time, feeling more creative and, most importantly, realizing that I have the right to work toward my goals and dreams even though they may not be conventional. That has been the biggest change. Believe me when I say that I’ve been putting off my goals and dreams for years because I’ve let myself be influenced by the idea of what is “normal” or what “should be done”.

If anyone who may be reading this can relate at all to what I’m saying, I hope I can remind you of the truth- that you are allowed to work on your goals and dreams even if the people around you think that you shouldn’t!

I think October is a wonderful month for setting goals. It’s not so close to the new year to where achieving anything seems impossible. It’s far enough away that there’s plenty of time to work on projects, skills or whatever else you may want to do, yet close enough to scare you into actually doing something about them!

I thought I’d share three of the (many) things I want to achieve from now to around Christmas time. I’ll look back on what I’ve done in a post around the end of the year.

  1. I want to complete my beginner guitar course. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started and stopped learning how to play guitar! I have a great video course that I know I could complete by the end of the year, so that’s what I’m going to do!

  2. I want to able to play a song on the piano with both hands. Same with guitar, I have started and stopped learning more times than I can count, and I’ve never been able to play a song with both hands at the same time. I’m sure that I could get there between now and the end of the year!

  3. I want to expand and grow my blog. My blog is mostly about skin care at the moment. I always want to do skin care! It’s one of my favorite things. But, I also want to try posting other types of content. I’ve also been slacking on promoting my blog and connecting with other bloggers, so I want to work on that too. I hope that I can have some regular readers and reach a wider audience over the next couple of months!

There are a few more things I want to accomplish, but I’m not going to bore you with all of those!

Do you have any goals that you want to accomplish between now and the end of the year? I would love to hear them ♡

Thanks for reading!
