DIY Pumpkin Ice For Skin Care!

Haaaaapppy Friday The 13th! Omg, how exciting is it that a Friday the 13th falls in October? Since this is one of the spookiest days all year, I have a special Halloween/fall themed DIY to celebrate with!

I made a blog post about skin icing a while back. Skin icing is one of my favorite easy skin care treatments. It provides so many amazing benefits, so why not make it even better with a simple recipe?

Today, I’ll be showing you how to make DIY pumpkin ice!

Pumpkin has many skin care benefits on its own! Since pumpkin is a great source of vitamin C, it helps brighten and hydrate skin! Pumpkin also contains many natural minerals that help it act as an anti-inflammatory, collagen booster and more!

For this DIY, the pumpkin benefits are all combined with the plain skin-icing benefits which you can read about on my past blog post!

Okay, now let’s get to the DIY! It’s so easy that this is hardly a tutorial. It’s more of an idea!

Ingredients and materials:

  • 100% Pumpkin Purée
  • Ice Tray (a cute & festive one is optional! I got my pumpkin one at the dollar store)

That’s all!

Directions:

Simply scoop the pumpkin purée into the ice tray, freeze for a few hours or overnight, and it’s done!

Optional: Stick a toothpick into each mold to use as a handle!

How to use:

If you didn’t put a toothpick into the molds, grab the ice with something so that you don’t freeze your hand. Run it under water for a second before placing it onto your skin. Smooth the ice over your skin in circular motions for about five minutes (or longer, depending on how you feel). Now, move on to washing your face and the rest of your skin care routine!

That’s all for this DIY! Let me know if you try it out!

I’ll be using mine every morning throughout October 🙂

Thanks for reading!

This is such a lovely idea, I’d never heard about skin icing before it’s a new thing for me. I also love that it’s Halloween inspired 🙂 xx
